Matt Iaconis, Winemaker

Matt Iaconis found his passion for winemaking after studying Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis. He is the founder and winemaker of Brick & Mortar, known for its elegant, site-driven wines from high-elevation and coastal vineyard sites. Matt emphasizes sustainable farming and minimal intervention in winemaking, producing wines capturing the elegance and purity of cool-climate Northern California fruit. His wines highlight texture, freshness and balanced glimpse of the dynamic place and time of vintage and vineyard. His innovative approach and dedication to quality have earned him recognition in the wine industry for his traditional method sparkling wines as well as still wines.

Vincent Morrow, Master Sommelier

Vincent Morrow, recognized as 2022's Sommelier of the Year by Michelin Guide California, VinePair’s Next Wave Sommelier of the Year, and the Iconoclast Dinner Experience Wine Honoree, oversees the world's largest Napa Valley wine collection at PRESS Restaurant. Vincent became a Master Sommelier before age 31, and gained experience at top San Francisco restaurants like Gary Danko, The French Laundry and Benu. As the former Chairperson of the Diversity Committee of the Court of Master Sommeliers and a current Board of Directors Member, Vincent actively inspires industry change; he is committed to increasing diversity in the wine industry and enhancing access to education and mentorship for underrepresented professionals.

Tyler and Hannah began Allium Wines with the goal of introducing world-class winemaking to a new generation of wine lovers, focused on the unique characteristics of high-elevation vineyards. They live for the interesting challenge of upholding the quality expected by lifelong connoisseurs while creating experiences their peers have come to expect from luxury brands.

Tyler’s fascination with wine began in college, where he was captivated by its deep history, geography, and the artistry behind winemaking. His passion took root during a harvest experience at Larkmead Vineyards in 2017; there, he realized his dream of creating a winery centered on sustainability and high-elevation vineyards. 

Hannah has dedicated her career to understanding consumer behavior trends and modern advertising practices. She pulls from her digital marketing "day job", years of creating impactful marketing strategies, and passion for operational perfection to bring the Allium brand to life. 

Together, they form a dynamic duo with a clear vision: create wines that are beautifully balanced, with a focus on terroir, allowing the unique characteristics of high-altitude fruit to truly shine.

Our vineyards are located in high elevation regions, where the unique climate and soil conditions contribute to the distinct character of our wines.
